GLOUP reads the ingredient list of everything on your shelf, looks at your skin from a selfie and tells you what to keep, what to skip and what to use tonight.
Most of what you own was chosen by someone else: an ad, a video, a friend with different skin. Nobody ever looked at your skin and your labels at the same time. GLOUP does exactly that.
No endless quiz and nothing you have to buy. It starts from what you already have.
The front camera looks at eight areas of your face and describes how each one looks. Only the surface: tone, radiance, texture, pores, the eye area.
Search by name or scan the barcode. GLOUP reads the full ingredient list, from the first line to the last.

Every product gets a match score for your profile, with the reasons for and against. The same bottle can score 87 on one skin and 41 on another.

Salicylic acid is 4th out of 8, well above the 1% line. It keeps pores clear on the chin and along the jaw, where breakouts keep coming back. In studies the difference shows in about 12 weeks.
Morning and evening, in the right order and the right amount. Every choice comes with its reason, and the routine changes with the seasons and with you.
It’s the cleanser that takes off sunscreen without stripping: ceramides at 7th, 8th and 9th place, no fragrance, nothing that foams hard. On skin that feels tight by evening, that’s what you want.
Turn your serum over and read the back. By law, ingredients are listed by quantity: the first is what there is most of, the last is what there is least of. That changes everything.

Right after water. There’s enough to do what the front of the bottle promises.
A sunscreen with “niacinamide” in its name. It comes after the preservatives, so there’s less than 1%. You paid for the word.
Two products with the same promise can be two completely different things. GLOUP reads every list in full and looks at where each ingredient sits, not just whether it’s there. Then it matches all of it to your skin.
Behind every number there’s a computer-vision model that runs on your iPhone, a reader that understands ingredient lists, and an engine that reasons on evidence and learns from you. Here’s how it works.
A computer-vision model (DINOv2 ViT-S/14) compressed to run on the phone. The face is aligned on 14 landmarks around the eyes, cut into 8 areas, and each area is read 10 times from slightly different crops. Three shots are merged, each weighted by how steady it was.
21 MB on device · 8 areas × 10 views · 3 shots · 0 photos uploadedLight changes everything, so the scan calibrates on the white of your eyes before reading colour. It works in CIELAB and compares each area with the rest of your face, not with an absolute value: that keeps the same face steady from a bulb to daylight.
CIELAB · white balance on the sclera · area-versus-face differencesEvery ingredient list is parsed line by line against a dictionary of more than 20,000 ingredients. GLOUP estimates where the 1% line falls from the preservatives, then reads each active against the dose it needs, its chemical form and how long it stays on the skin.
20,000+ INCI names · 1% line · dose bands · contact time61 actives, each with its evidence for each concern: 142 rows linked to published studies. Strong evidence weighs more, lab-only or traditional use weighs less, and where there is no proof the app says so.
61 actives · 142 evidence rows · studies with PMIDOne wash per routine, thinnest to thickest, vitamin C in the morning, retinoids at night, sunscreen last. Strong actives build up step by step, two weeks per step, and never share an evening.
Order by texture · step-up schedule · recovery nightsTen pairs of actives checked against the literature: the ones that work better together, the ones that need separate evenings, and the myths, like vitamin C and niacinamide, which comes from a 1963 test tube.
10 verified pairs · within a formula and across your shelfHow many evenings of a strong active your skin can take is a Bayesian estimate, updated by your evening answers. Your progress line uses a Kalman filter and only shows a trend when it’s 95% sure of the direction.
Beta-Bernoulli with forgetting · Kalman filter · 95% confidenceThirteen needs, from your answers, your scans, the season, your age and your diary. With time the engine learns which of them really move on your skin, starting from the research and shifting towards you only as your data gets solid.
13 needs · hierarchical n-of-1 · never beyond ±30%score = base + what it does for you × strength of evidence + how well it’s formulated − what your skin may not like + what your shelf already covers + the season
Every release goes through 82 automated test benches: thousands of simulated people, shelves and scans, checked line by line.
And which ones you’re using for nothing. One by one, with the reason: what’s in them, how much, and how well it matches your skin.
Product by product, how much and in what order. Including the two things that shouldn’t go on the same evening.
Before you buy it. Search it and find out if it’s worth it on your skin, or if you already own something that does the same.
No seven-day promises. Real timings from published studies, and your skin looked at every week.
The scan runs on the iPhone. Your face photos, your results and your answers stay there, and you can delete them with one tap.

No. GLOUP is a cosmetic and educational app: it describes how the surface of your skin looks and reads product labels. It isn’t a medical device, doesn’t diagnose anything and doesn’t replace seeing a dermatologist. If something on your skin hurts, changes shape or doesn’t go away, see a doctor.
Nowhere. Your face photos stay on your phone: the analysis runs on the device and nothing is sent to us. You can delete them any time from your profile.
From the labels, the brands’ official sites and the main retailers of each country. Every product has its full ingredient list. Formulas can change over time: the label on the pack always wins.
Add it in the app with brand and name, and photograph the ingredient list if you have the pack. It works for you straight away, and we add it to the catalogue for everyone.
